Rachael holds a LLB(Hons)/BHSc from the University of Auckland. While studying, she clerked at a large commercial firm and a specialist insurance firm. After graduating, Rachael worked for two years as a Judges’ Clerk at the High Court in Auckland. She was admitted to the bar in 2013.
Since joining Wilson Harle, Rachael has been involved in a broad range of the firm’s work. She is particularly interested in maritime law, public law and intellectual property. Rachael also tutored public law at the University of Auckland.
Advising government bodies on contractual and procurement disputes and OIA requests
Obtaining High Court directions for Public Trust regarding reimbursement of trust expenses
Acting on category one and three criminal matters
Advising individuals on Commerce Commission investigations under the Fair Trading Act and CCCFA
Assisting a ship owner with defending a claim for damaged cargo
